This resource has 8 end of the year writing prompts and crafts for your students to work on the last weeks of school. These writing crafts allow students to reflect on the school year and look ahead to summer break and the following school year.
End of the Year Writing Prompts and Crafts:
- This Year was One in a ‘Melon’ – Students write about what they accomplished this year and create a watermelon craft.
- Summer Bucket List – Students write about what they hope to do over the summer and complete a sand bucket and shovel craft.
- My Future is Bright – Students write about what they want to be when they grow up and top their writing with sunglasses they color.
- This Year was Sweet – Students write about what made this year sweet and create a pineapple craft.
- Floating Into… Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade – Students write why they are ready to move onto the next grade and have 5 choices of floats to create. There are papers for each grade K through 3.
- This Year Was “Un-BEE-lievable” – Students write about what made this year great and top with a bee craft.
- My Friends are Cool – Students write about the friends they made this year and complete an ice cream craft.
- “Owl” Always Remember – Students write about a person or event they will always remember and add an owl craft.
Each prompt has writing sheets with handwriting lines and lines, a craft and bulletin board letters. All of these activities are NO PREP! Just print and use!
