St. Patrick’s Day Math and Literacy Escape Room! Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with this engaging escape room for the primary grades. Students love escape rooms! They are a great way to practice skills and add excitement to learning. This simple escape room is easy to use and no prep! Students practice reading, reading comprehension, writing, money, and fractions in this resource.
To begin this challenge, the leprechaun tells students, “Go on a hunt for my missing treasure. In order to find it, you must collect all four missing shamrocks. Are you up for the task?” Student must complete 4 different activities to collect the treasure (pot of gold).
Challenges
- Reading Comprehension – There is a differentiated reading passage about St. Patrick’s Day with comprehension questions
- Writing with a topper – There are two prompts to choose from with a cute leprechaun topper
- Money Activities – This escape room has an identifying coins worksheet, an adding coins worksheet, and Race to $1.00 game. You can choose which math activities you want your students to do.
- Fraction Activities – Activities include shading in the fraction, writing the fraction and a Four in a Row Fraction game. You can do one or all of them.
You can work together as a class to complete this activity or students can do it individually – it’s your choice! It’s guaranteed to be a hit in your classroom!
